I'm thinking about a GoPro, but want to take still PIC's? Can anyone tell me if you can take still PIC's with a GoPro and if so is there a remote way of triping the shutter.

Mac is the way to go, but I'm too cheap right now so I have to find something that will work with Windows XP.

Sedona Orange FLTRX 103.
79 Shovel Chop.

The GoPro has a setting that takes photos at timed intervals. 3 sec 5 sec. As far as a shutter remote I know that the new gopro black series offers a remote but I'm not sure if it has shutter control.

A great edit software for PC's is Camtasia lots more features than iMovie but not quite as good as Final Cut Pro.

I have been trying to decide on whether to get a GoPro or not. I have not had a chance to go on a ride to use it yet... more like attaching it to my helmet and being able to film stupid cagers.

I have had my GoPro mounted on front and side of the fairing, as well as the front fender top and bottom, back of tour pak using the suction cup mount, no problems so far. Check out this videos I posted from Kervville and Sturgis.

I have a mount on my topbox (tourpack).
It enables me to film either facing forward or backwards.
Also have other mounts on the handlebar and crashbar.

Here is a video that my Son put together of us up on the mountain the other day:
