Well, this bites. Chance of rain is now 100% and highs only in the 50s. This is not ideal riding conditions for those coming long distances from NY, NJ, MA, etc. Let alone for riders closer to Frederick. Current forecast for 10 days out shows Saturday the 20th shows sunny with highs of 86*. I know some people already have conflicts with the 20th and the following weekend is Memorial Day weekend. So, who can still meet on the 20th?
Original Info:
It's time to make the plans and cement them into your calendars. The PA Meet and Greet, expanded for all of us non-PA types that like to ride out of state for lunch, has been planned and confirmed. Details are as follows:
The final date is 20 May due to rain this weekend. Meet at Harley-Davidson of Frederick between 11:00 and 12:00. At 12:30, we'll depart for a short ride for lunch. Lunch will be served by the beautiful ladies of the Tilted Kilt in Frederick. Afterwards, a couple of the ladies will be available for posing on your scoot. And, for the women, there will be a guy or two available in kilts for posing with the women. (Equal opportunity here!!)
If there is time and desire, I have a short ride through the countryside afterwards. Those with longer rides may not be able, but for any closer riders, Road Glides are about riding and Frederick offers some great back roads.
I spoke to Tilted Kilt's Manager Paul and HD of Frederick's Jeff Shadoan. Both look forward to our visiting.
I cant make the 20th date, but wanted to subscribe to this to keep up to date in the event the weather is not good on the 20th and yet another date is picked. Hope you all have great weather on the 20th and a great turn out. Post up lots of pics from the day for those of us that are not able to be there.
Well damn, that's 2 regulars to the event that can't make the 20th and a Marylander. June is rough for me as I am hosting a GlideFest event and still have rides to plan for it. So, June 3rd would be the only rain date to the 20th that I could possibly do.
Well, the 20th (so far!!) looks to be great riding weather. Sunny with temps in the 80s. No more wimpy excuses from you with playing house wife or Jeff attending a wedding? Really? C'mon @Freaky, this is way better than a wedding.
Funny thing is I agree with you, I would rather be at this M&G, however, it's family and I had already committed prior to, hence I was hoping that this weekend would have worked out.

the ride to the Tilted Kilt from the Harley dealer is about half a mile. You could easily walk it and we'll spend more time parking then riding. I will still plan a ride after for those that have time.
I'm down in Shrewsbury. Was planning on heading over to Hanover and then down 194 to Ceresville then 26 over to Monocacy Blvd. Bout an hour and a half without slow traffic.
Tim, be sure to get lots of pics and post them! Sounds like a whole new crew for this one then in the past several years. We can throw together another one come fall somewhere, I will work on that.
Safe travels to all that make it.
Man, I am really going to miss the regulars that can't make it this week. But, I am looking forward to introducing a bunch of newbies to the PA M&G experience. This is an awesome forum!
If youens are agreeable to it, we can PM some phone numbers and start a group text. Just to let it be known when you head out and arrive at each stop. Who's running late, and who had shlt come up, that sort of thing.
damn.. Another regular bites the dust. You'll be missed by the others that will be missing. :surprise: I think Jeff is cooking up another meet in the fall, so catch ya then or @ Shark Week.
Thank you for putting it together Zinc. Always good to meet fellow riders and see the tweaked RG's. Would have liked to go on the ride after but headed home to warm. Looking forward to the next one.
I clinked on the link in your post and couldn't get to the pics. Surely something will figure out.
Ride safe everyone.
