How do I post more than two photos on a post? If I want to do a write up or post a bunch of stuff I've done to my bike in series? I noticed some peoples photos show up in the tread and some like mine are only shown as thumbnails. Am I doing something wrong? I am definitely forum dumb when it comes to this stuff so I'm seeking guidance.

I use photobucket to place my photos. Place your picks in photobucket select the photo you want. Use the "DIRECT" link to place in the Script Prompt Box. See attached.

Then you can just place multiple picks by selecting the insert image icon

I would not recommend photobucket. My virus scanner has stopped viruses from that sight. I used it years ago and have a lot of photos out there, but not anymore. In fact, many workplaces block photobucket, so that should tell you something.

My phone automatically uploads to flikr when I hit WiFi. Works well, but I don't share from that site.

I upload my photos to picturetrail.com once I have resized them to 800x600 or smaller. It is a free service and not blocked by work, and no spam or viruses.

Members are limited to 2 images at a time (and showing as small thumbnails) to limit server space, use, and load times in threads.

This limit ensure's that the posts are not flooded with multiple images. However, we could look at upping the limit, and that would be brought up to the mods attention.

The best bet so far would be to have your images hosted, and use the Insert Image icon to ensure all your pictures go along with your thread.

The actual images come up as "Attached Thumbnails" as you may not have added them to the post after uploading them. Once you are done uploading, hit the paperclip icon again to choose them from the list. That will embed them.

Thanks,
- JB

As a forum admin (not this one), we much prefer members uploading images directly to the forum rather that use outside sources like photobucket or flickr. Why? Because that way the photos will always be there with the post-and archived with the forum. When a user rearranges or deletes albums or pictures from albums outside the forum, all that does is cause dead links in some great threads.

How many old threads have you looked at with missing pictures?
