Several having issues lately

Issues were documented in another thread - What's with the website the last day or so?

Essentially, for me, FireFox & IE will not show pictures. FireFox doesn't allow me to do a quick reply and when clicking on "Your Notifications" the site brings up the New Subscribed Threads page. Hover over the hyperlink it shows link to usercp.php.

I had to use the quote button to be able to reply... the Quick Reply button does nothing. Using Firefox version 53.0.2 (64-bit). A bit of quirkiness the past few days. Glad to see it's not just me. Also get weird behavior with Safari Version 10.1 (12603.1.30.0.34) and Google Chrome Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit).

No known adblocker for me and I use the black background. It's a work PC and just started having these issues last week.

We've been getting reports that a few of the adblock/noscripts programs have picked up and blocked some scripts that are used to function the site. It's possible your IT has something in place over the network, or locked on the admin account on your terminal.

To test if it is the scripts being blocked, you can switch over to Classic view (if the bottom dropdown menu doesn't work from this page, try navigating to the main forum. You can also change it in your Settings). If Classic view works for you, there is something blocking the scripts. If you have a decent relationship with your IT personnel you can try asking them to whitelist the Verticalscope scripts (comet-admin.verticalscope.com and static.verticalscope.com) so you can continue to use the dark theme as your preference (these are not ad scripts)

If switching to Classic view does not correct the issues for you, please let us know.

Thank you, Dayle. Classic View is working fine. I'll just keep it here as engaging the enterprise IT folks is nigh near impossible to do without an undue amount of stress.

I was having the same issue but it went away after this post. Maybe a coincidence, but the same issues are popping back up on ad blocker browser for Android. I did log in with Chrome and it appears to be working. I sure hope I don't have to switch back to chrome, some sites have massive amounts of ads. Any ideas? Thanks

Hey there,

Sorry If I missed this, but did you add verticalscope to your whitelist as explained by Dayle above?
also what browser are you using on what Android device when you come across this issue?

Richard.

I don't think the whitelist applies to me, I am using my phone with Verizon data, not on a work network.

I am using the free adblocker browser for Android, Motorola turbo 2 phone. I also have the same issue as Smitty, I can see thumbnail pictures.
