I almost bought it. Then we seen I had the latest greatest update of the month compensator. So we attributed the noise to the tensioner. Put in a new one from HD still noisy. Put in the baker attitude adjuster. Noise all gone. You spent this much and it'll be apart I'd toss in the 179.99 for it from amazon and be done with it. I'm glad in my case I tried the cheaper part first. Not saying yours is the same noise.

Put the Baker compensator in my bike last November and so far so good! The install was easy and pretty straight forward.

Well , i finally had a chance to install the compensator from baker, which i must say is very well packaged and it looks like its built tough , also very easy to install , you dont have to keep track of the damn springs , they are contained all together , it really seems to shift quieter that before which is still noisey as hell in my opinion , i still have a serious starting prob. that i will post as well , if anyone needs pics , feel free to PM me your number and i can text them to you ...Steve

Do you have an update on how it is running, good or bad and was it worth it? How many miles on it now?

I installed the Baker comp and the Baker attitude this year and it cured the clunk i was having and starts much better. i have about 800 miles on it so far and everything is still doing great.

For those of you that have the original compensator and it has started making noise, get a medium bellevue washer out of an old compensator spring set ( Harley dealerships normally have tons of used ones laying around due to how many they have changed out). Put it in the spring pak facing the same direction as the outboard medium bellevue that's in there now. This will take of the slack of the spring pak and put the cams back in position they should be in on the spoke sprocket. It will eliminate the knocking noise of the compensator and correct the contact points. Cheap fix that works.
