Just order 2016 RGU at the military overseas sales. I don't get to pick it up until Feb or Mar because I just had shoulder surgery. Struggle is real!
My choices for exhaust are all 2 into 1.
1. Fuel Moto Road and Track
2. Rinehart 2 into 1
3. D&D Fatcat.
Has any one here run the Road & Track? I have run the Fatcat on my fatboy and it rocked. The rinehart looks good. I know personal preference is everything. Just wanted the input on the 2 I haven't tried.
Thanks all
I am biased as I have run the D&D Fatcats on 4 different Harleys. I now have them on my 16 RGS with the Andrew 57H cam. I can tell you they rock. Just under 100 hp and 113 torque. Very pleased with the combo and this is without headwork. On the Ultra this combo would gain you a little more because of the water cooled heads with the motor having higher compression than the special. Good luck with the choice.
I don't plan on doing cams. Just A/C, Power Vision And pipes. I have the extended warranty and will build the motor when it's up. 107 or something.
I love the fat cat too but was thinking to try something new. That Fatcat ran awesome on my fatboy 103.
Just so you know, the Rushmore bikes a/c is more than capable of handling your motor's needs even with cams and pipes. If you are just doing it for the looks, I get it.
Not sure what you're after exactly, but you might talk with FuelMoto about the difference between the Road/Track vs the E-series.
I ran the E-series before I traded, ran really well and sounded good.
Had a D&D Fat Cat on my Softail and Street Glide. When I bought my first Road Glide in 2012 I experimented with a couple other brands. Needless to say I put a D&D on my '15 and never looked back. Definately a continuous winner in my opinion and experience.
What baffle do you have in that fatcat on your 15?
Also I was checking out the Dragos 2 into 1 pipe. They look good but how is the sound? I also see that no one that brings up the Dragos is running them. Not knocking them just makes me think hmmm.
I have time to get this stuff so I'm hoping to get some first hand info on the rinehart 2 into 1 and the FM road and track. If not the Fatcat because go with what you know.
I know one thing FM and D&D both have stellar customer service. So those are top 2 already in my head.
Thanks again for the input and looking forward to reading more.
Also how do you donate or join this site to support. I feel I will spend time here over the years.
I'm currently running the Dragos Dragula on my 2013 RG. I had a D&D on my previous bike. Both pipes sound great but the D&D is louder and on longer trips it gets to you after a while. The Dragos will bark when you get on it. You can't go wrong with either pipe but I like the Dragos because 1) he's a sponsor 2) it's priced right 3) GREAT customer service 4) Frank is a wealth of information and will answer all your stupid questions all day long. I called him once, received his voicemail and I hung up. Frank called me back 10 minutes later asking if I had called.
More then several members run Dragos. I have the perforated D and Ds and like them a lot. I don't find them annoying on long trips.
The Dragos sound really good and I wouldn't have a problem running them. Also, as others have said, Frank is a sponsor and offers great customer service and is a wealth of knowledge. I've called the shop, once, and picked his brain for over 20 minutes. Never did he try to push me into buying his products/services.
I was also planning on a D&D FatCat, until I found out they're now almost $1,100. NFW.
The Vance & Hines ProPipe, also a 2-into-1, is available for around $630. Even after you add $90 for the quiet baffle, because I have no interest in loud, it's still a hell of a deal compared to the FatCat, with no significant difference in performance.
Where are you looking for that price? You can easily get one for around $980. Just look on google and parts websites will have them listed up brand new!
I just put a rush 2 into 1 on my 2011rg. It is quieter than the d and d fatcat on my dyna. They make different baffles for it also. The one I have is the 2.5 inch baffle. Didn't know if you had looked at these.
Another vote for the Dragula. Been running it on my 103 for a while and it works great. D&D makes a good pipe also but I think the Dragula has a deeper tone to it. I'm running the 2.5" baffle now but when my 124 arrives this pipe will still be enough pipe by just going up to the 3" baffle. You can't beat Frank's customer service either.
I was in the same situation recently, my tuner recommended the Dragula. I'm very happy with it and glad I followed his advice.
I just put a Dragula II on my bike and had it tuned this week. It sounds awesome. Nice deep throaty sound at idle, quiet enough to still hear the radio while cruising (stock 2015 RGS speakers), but has a nasty bark when you get on it. Also made good numbers when tuned! Get the Dragos, you will not regret it!
Also, Frank's customer service was second to none! Answered all my questions and was never too busy to talk or answer even the simplest of questions. His warranty is the best you can find, the pipe looks great, install was quick and simple. I could not be happier.

The Dragula II don't come in black that I see. The regular Dragula do and I like the slant tip.
Does the ceramic coating help a lot with heat? I still really like the D and D but Dragos seam like a viable option. Not to many people I talk to have even heard about them. That is cool too because it's not a me too pipe just like the road glide is not a me too bike.
Not one of your pipes but I have a Bassani. I would not recommend it as the rear header heat shield drags when turning right. I ride an ultra not a lowered bike. D&D is a great pipe. I have heard the Dracula and prefer the sound of it.
The Rinehart 2X1 for baggers shows a large dip in the 2-3K rpm range on a dyno print out. Don't know if you can feel it or not. I was behind a guy with one, didn't care for the "tinny" sound. I opted for the black V&H Pro Pipe for my 2015 RGS, very good sounding IMO, not too loud. According to Fuel-Moto the quiet baffle in the Pro Pipe hurts low end torque, so I went with the baffle that came in it. Tuned in nicely. Hope this helps.
im running the Drago2, great sound, good power but has a dual chamber baffle that only has packing in the rear chamber and after some miles the front half of muffler body yellowed. not a big deal just FYI
Thanks for all the info so far. You guys have been great. I guess the dragos and the fatcat are the 2 choices now. It really seems it comes down to looks and sound.
More info is still welcome.
I can't speak for the D&D, but I'm sure it's a fine exhaust. I had a dragula 2 on my '11 SG that I'm trading in, & I'm most definitely getting a dragula 2 for my RGS, no doubt. I personally think it's the perfect mix of aggressive sound when you want it, but will mellow out nicely at cruising speed. Deep idle note, with a nasty growl on accel, and a distinct "snarl" on shift. Ceramic coated header inside & out, looks good, sounds good (to me)
Honestly, I don't think there's a bad choice to be made here...
