Is there anyone running redline 20/60?
Thinking about trying it to quiet down the top end?

I always run Redline 20/60 in the summer...it only quiets the top end only slightly

yep HarleyJack runs 20-60 year round , no issues , great used oil analysis to boot , they have told me to extend beyond 8000 miles but I can't bring myself to that yet ..
I get mine from Racer Parts Wholesale , they have a kit with all the fluids in it ..

I run it year round here also. while it doesn't really quieten down the top end, it does maintain a little more oil pressure when hot. where the 20w-50 would drop to 20 or less, the 20w-60 keeps up to almost 30. I know that it isn't a big deal, that these bikes are designed to run that way, but it makes me feel better

I don't bother with it in the primary or the tranny though. I use shell rotella t in the primary. it is jaso rated for wet clutch use and runs about $14 for a gallon of it. good for at least 3 changes. change it every engine oil change, 5k.

for the tranny, I just use a good synthetic gear lube. this last time I used supertech (yes, from Walmart. its mfg by citgo) and will change it out at the 40k on the odometer (20k on the oil)

I understand the concept of reality, but find it too confining for a way of life.

No, use red line gear oil with shock proof or Redline V twin tranny oil with shock proof in the transmission gear box. Red line 20/60 engine oil in the engine only. JMHO.
