I installed a Big Sucker II and Propipe,Then a PCV. If I put in a generic map, can I ride without any damage??
Thanks!

I rode my bike with a base map after I installed a new header and A/C, ran well but it ran rich. I had it dyno'd (I have a PCV w/o the auto tuner) because I was tired of smelling gas. The bike ran soother and the gas efficiency increased significantly.

Hi Bigvig; short answer is: yes – you can, but you should consider a dyno-run to reap the benefits of the AC and Propipe.
BTW what model/engine is it?
Your bike was tuned at the factory with the OEM air cleaner and exhaust. With the new set-up your bike is more likely than not running with a lean mixture of air and gas. The engine will run hotter, with a noticeable loss of hp and torque, and with a decel-pop to add insult to injury.
You can't really go wrong with an "official" map and the engine will not take any damage as a result. But tinkering with a "custom map" on your own would be another story. But before any permanent damage occur your engine will sputter and complain, sort of telling you that the demise is near before seizing.

(For the record: I'm not a trained H-D tech but others on here are.)
