Hi all,
Been looking for a seat for my beer gut frame 6ft bout 320 and saw they got the tallboy seats for the newer bikes. I got a 16 rgs wondering if anyone else has it and there thoughts. I get the numbness starting bout 1 1/2 in on a ride and it's down hill from there.
Thanks

Your local dealer should let you test ride one. My local dealer, and every dealership I have visited will let you demo a seat before you buy it. I did a 2 hour demo ride on a hammock before deciding it wasn't for me.

I'm 6'1" 200#, and have a 2016 RGS. As soon as I bought my bike, the controls felt too tight, so I got a loaner tallboy seat. Things felt so much better! I would still like more space, but I'll take what I can get! It moves you back an inch or two, so it will put a squeeze on your passenger if she is full-figured.

Fun fact: the adjustable backrest does NOT work with the TB seat. The standard version will, however. Dealership sold me wrong one, and I learned the hard way.

Recently, I did about 850 miles in two days - must say that the 90 minute limit you talk about was true for mie even though the TB was more comfortable. Funny, the total tolerable seat time hasn't changed for me over the years, regardless of bike (sport, std, cruiser)... I get antsy and need to stretch.

Hope this helps

I have a 2016 RGS and tried the Tallboy seat.Gave me more room and liked the position.I was able to ride 60-80 miles before having to get off.I tried the Hammock and it's really comfy.I can actually ride 21/2 hours with out stopping.I bought the hammock. The Rushmore specific seat. Its very similar to the Tallboy position.A little closer then Tallboy but back a little compared to stock.
