Well while riding today I stopped at Valley Forge HD. they had the wind defelctors in stock. So I dropped the $ to try them out. Well I found I also have the tank strap fix on my 2010 FLTX. Ran to Lowes got the longer bolts. had some chrome 3/4" spacers at home and attached the deflectors. Very easy work around. Went for a ride to see if or how they work. My seat of the pants opinion is they do work. They don't really cut any wind that you feel but the minor buffeting I had at speed is gone. My shades did not shake at all and I could ride with my vest open with out it getting sucked behind me. Worth $30. Already ordered the sancho deflectors as well. They should cut some additional air for when it gets cold. Those with my soft lowers should make me a happy camper.
