So how much do you tighten the windshield screws....?

My madstad came in yesterday, and I figured no big deal easy swap right, well I did know about chainsaw's method for getting the well nuts started so they don't fall into the fairing, but I still managed to screw this up lol. I thought a couple of the well nuts fell in anyways, but today when rested and calm and looking everything over again, they were crushed and stuck to the back of the windshield, lol. Obviously, I overtightened them, lol. But there was no huge resistance or anything. I broke 4 of the 5 well nuts, so how much is the right amount to tighten them and how can you tell? Never had this issue on my previous road glide......

Take a spare well nut and tighten it on the shield with the windshield off of the fairing. Watch how it expands and get a feel for what is right by watching it compress and expand.
