So shortly after picking up my 15 I installed a set of 12" kst outlaw bars. Just not quite enough pullback for me and I think I want a little taller. Anyone on here have the new chizeled bars yet? I like the wrist angle and the fact that they are more narrow. Might keep hands behind windshield better in the winter. Anyways, I am curious If they will work with stock controls and wiring. If the 14" malos will, it would make sense that these do since they are 14" rise and also a whole 6" narrower. Guess I will have to order a set and try!
Yep outlaw bars. They are their polished stainless. Shoot me a pm with contact info, when I get the chizeleds and get them on I'll sell the kst's for sure.
Some pics of the chisled bars installed from elsewhere...
One would think it would be possible to install without ext wires or cables like shown in the Malo bar installation.
So I got the chizeled bars on. Stock cables, used wire extensions though. Honestly, the stock cables "work" but not really. The clutch is ok but the front brake is very tight when turned fully left. I'll be installing extended clutch and brake in the next week or two and just will be careful until then.
Got the Chizeled as well. Got the braided black cables and ditched the stockers. Made a HUGE difference from the stock handlebars, but still think I'm gonna have to get a new seat...
I got the new braided clutch and upper brake hoses from harley. I think it was $250 for them and the wire extensions. Still haven't put them on. It works with the stock cables but it's really less than ideal. The upright part of the bar on these I think measures like 16ish inches rise so you are really too tall for stock stuff. I have heard though that the new RGUs have PLENTY of brake and clutch hose for these bars. Weird.
I like the look of these, just picked up a 15 RG, already looking at bars. Torn between these & the malos, I had KST mayhem bagger bars on my SG. They were ok, but they didn't have enough pullback or wrist angle for me, so want the next bars to be dead on.
Hey Matt, wondering what you think of the chizeled apes overall. I'm looking for feedback to get an idea of whether these will be a good fit for me. How tall are you & inseam? How is the wind on your hands? I'm guessing you loose a lot if not most of the wind protection from the fairing? Have you determined that you can stick with stock cables & wiring or would it be better to get extensions? I like the specs on the bar, seems like the wrist angle would be pretty relaxed. Thanks!
Dang, both of you guys are about 1-1/2 to 2" taller than me, so I'm thinking that they may end up being a bit too tall. Wish they made these in 12" rise, it would he at the top of the list. I sat on a RGS today with 14" carlini standard apes, height wasn't terrible, still a little below my shoulders, but they were pretty wide & I would have to reach a bit at full lock turns. So now I'm thinking 12" malos, 12" vindiktas, or chizeled if they make em in 12" rise. I just think 14's are going to be too much like my old KST's I had on the SG. Looked great, handled great, but my hands would go numb on longer rides, so I want to try to keep my hands at about pectoral height.
Too bad, I like the chizeled, tough decision. Just don't want to have to buy bars more than once!
While visiting California the El Cajon dealer had a 15 setup with these bars. Felt good and a good height for me. Just about even or under shoulder height. I'm 6'2"
I actually think HD might have gotten it right with these bars, the wrist angle and drop look really comfortable, now they just need to come out with 12" rise and I think they would work for me.
Looks like I might have to go to Malos or vindiktas. Can't seem to find anything on Carlini's website that indicates their bars work on the '15+ RG's, cause I like the look of their bars as well..
I have these on my '16 RGS and love them. I am 5'8 (short arms and torso) and was a bit worried they might be too tall for me. Turned out they are a perfect fit. I went ahead and did all new lines and wire extensions. I have the bars set to be inline with the forks.
They were a easy install. Did take me around 3 hrs, but I took my time and had fun with it. I did use the wire extensions but the brake and clutch cables are stock.

I don't like my wrists angled like the HD Chizels set them, plus they measure 14" bottom bar to point and the grips are lower in all pics I have seen. Don't mess around with Carlinis I love the 1.5 diameter on Sharks. I would go Factory 47 first and Vindikta second. I own 16" Factory47 Malos. Vindikta has stright upgright rather than curved and are also narrower. I think they may be open to modifying their other bars to work with 15+ RGs. Id call them.
I just finished fitting a set of the Chizeled bars to my 15 RGS. These bars have cast in corners so they have smooth rounded internal corners. The problem with that is that the hole through the corners is little more than 5/8 which make feeding wiring very difficult. I ended up cutting off all the plugs and extended the wires about 7", except the fly-by wire which I unpinned and is more than long enough.
These bars measure 15.75". Stock brake and clutch lines fit with a little fiddling.
I'm in the process of buying bars for my 15' Glide but can't decide if the narrower chiseled will be worth the savings over the malo's. Does anyone have any experience with both of these bars?
I've heard from a few that have them and they like them. I didn't like the downward angle of the grips when I tried them out.
