Is everyone changing out the rubber bushings on the 16's when they do a bar swap? I thought I'd leave mine in for a little more vibration control, or should I just do it while it's all apart.
I bought the poly bushing to put in mine...But when my wife asked me to come in and do something fer her. I went back to installing my bars and realized I didn't do the bushings. So I'll keep them for when I do need them.
I had stock bushings with my 10" monkey bars for 3 years and thought they were fine. When I put on my 16" malo bars on I switched to poly bushings. I figured for $8.00 and a few more minutes while I was in there. Glad I did, it has a much firmer feel now.
I put the poly bushings in my '15 when I installed the 14" Wild 1 bars. I like the firmer feel. Taller bars create more leverage and pressure, and I don't like the squishy feel of the rubber bushings. To me, it's a noticeable difference.
I bought them when I installed my 12" BR bars on my 15 but decided I did not feel like doing them by the time I had it all apart. I don't have any issues with the stock bushings. They are sitting on my work bench if I decide I need them later and feel like digging back into it.
