Cam suggestions

I have an 11 RGU with nightsticks, stage 1, de-chatted, Cobra Fi2000 tuner and am looking for cams, Ride 10-12k per year, Almost always 2up, 425lbs combined weight. Could be talked into pipes as I am not in love with nightsticks and not sure of the advantages of de-chatted vs true header. Looking for 40-70 mph power curve. Anyone have input.

I've got the SE204 in mine, works well. IMO 6th gear was useless at 60mph before, now it's quite useable, the bike will actually accelerate when you turn the throttle when cruising in 6th. Probably added 10mph of useable range to 6th gear, and added quite a bit of mid range pull when running through the gears. The intake closing number makes it drop a bit of cranking compression, which helps reduce pinging also.

I used the Andrews 37 in my 2 previous bikes, but wouldn't use it without bumping the compression up a bit first. The later(later than the 204) intake close drops a bit too much compression for a stock motor IMO.

I have no experience with the S&S or Woods cams, but the numbers on the 222 do look good.

2015 RGU CVO........under continuous change......

Scott, how do you like the new Woods TW-222 cam compared to the new Andrews 57H cam.

There are so many good cams out there that fit the bill.
Tman 555 tq
Cycle rama 575
Andrews 57 new
S&S 551
Tman 600 sm
Woods 222 new
Zippers 525 cams new
But adding cams is like getting a tattoo you will want more.
All those cams up above will work. At my shop we favor Tman cams.
We have done builds for stock 103 tman 555tq with a good exhaust and tune and have seen 98 hp 110 tq.! With good port job we have seen 105/110 hp and 118/125 tq. With out building high compression motor. Just make sure you pick the right cam that can grow with your build.
Thanks
FD......

Exclamation Cams

If you have extra $$$ buy the new designer cams, if you don't have the extra $$$ consider the tried and true - SE or Andrews. There is always something newer and hotter, so they say, but it it is reliability you want. Andrews makes a lot of cams under their name and for others - that should tell you something.

08' FLTR - customized !!!
05' SuperGlideCustom - sold
