Andrews 57h or tw-555 would work well. If you want the torque to come on real early try the 222's. I'm running 57's in my 96 and they are an awesome cam. Good power down low and they really come alive at 2800.
The 57h specs are pretty close to the 555 and they are half the cost. Found on amazon for about $200 shipped.
I agree with all of this except about the 222's, they are almost the opposite of the 777's. They come on extremely hard down low and fall off quickly after about 4500 rpm's. Great cam if you pull a trailer or something like that. The 57 and the 555 both are great choices and both really shine all over the place. They both really like 10:2-1 compression and com alive. Stock they are each one of the best all around cams on the market. Can't go wrong.
+1 ^^^^^ The TW 777 cams are better used in a built engine that has higher compression and it doesn't like the low rpm range that the bike is in most of the time. I used the TW 222 which is a great touring cam with great low/mid range torque which is what you want in the heavier touring model Harleys. The TW 555 are good too but it moves the rpm range up the scale a little bit more. The other cams mentioned are good as well.
11:1 compression is way too much for pump gas and touring. Anything at 10:5-1 and under with a great tune and you'll have a motor that will work for you touring
Having used the 777 cams in a stock compression bike, I found them dissapointing. Too bad they get marketed as a bolt in.
