Well the MOCO did not want us to know the new models for 2013 until the end of August! Well easyrider published the 2013 CVO's in the October issue that I recieved last week! Woops! Face out!
The EG and RK are the anniversary CVO edition,.. notice the tank badge.I cant wait to see the Anniversary CVO RGC though. hopefully a better paint scheme and colors like the CVO Road King or EG Ultra shown in these pics.
I agree with you Face about the Slip clutch. The moco is accomodating for those that dont know what they are doing. Of course I dont mind any technological advances though.Maybe I don't understand the slip clutch but, I always thought the ability to not skid the back wheel on a downshift was a rider skill thing? So Harley is now making bikes for people who don't know how to ride a bike? I grew up riding dirt bikes. Fast down shifts are part of racing and wheel slid in the dirt happens often. When i ride my street bike I guess I unconsciously do "rev matching" never heard that term. One of the things that worried me when I got me bike with ABS is not being able to do a fast down shift emergency stop. Hard for me to explain but like the dirt bike I am braking and down shifiting letting the clutch out after each down shift to let the engine do some of the braking. This is a habit I had to break with abs. you just got to stand on it. I am not sure I understand the need for this new feature but I am open minded and will have to see how it works before the jury votes.
Once on a poker run I got behind a guy on a new dyna, temp. tags, new leather jacket and chaps. This guy skidded the tire on every down shift! Everytime we approached a curve he did it and sometime in a turn! I finally pulled off and got away for the dumdass before he layed it down!
Maybe I am just a riding snob? I have ridden bikes since 6 and had a clutch since 12 so I don't have these problems harley is trying to correct!
