So what's everyone's plans for Halloween? What are you dressing up as, staying home passing candy out and scaring children? Let's share em!
I'm planning on dressing up as Andrew Dice Clay, studded leather jacket, shades, styled up hair and black leather gloves complete with many vulgar witty comebacks!
When it gets dark and the big kids come out Chainsaw is dressing in his scary clown costume and chasing them with a chainsaw. Our 1 year old son is going to be a monkey. I haven't figured out what I'm doing for a costume, probably nothing since I'll be dealing with a monkey.
For many years I would camo and ghillie suit up and be situated in the plantings near my entry porch. When the Trick or Treaters would come to the door, I would slip in behind them as they received their "treats" from my wife or one of my kids. As they turned to leave, the screams would be unbelievable and several World Records could have been broken in both the 100 yard dash and high hurdles leaving my house. Later in the evenings when the older groups came around, I would sit on the front porch with the basket of candy in my lap...kids would come up and poke, prod or kick me to see if I was real...I wouldn't twitch until they reached for the candies in the basket at which time I would simply move slightly or grab their wrist. It almost became a right of passage within our neighborhood over the years to test my concealment capabilities. I realized one year that aside from soiling themselves, someone was either going to drop dead on my porch or trip and stumble trying to run off so I ended that fun.
In recent years I have been Darth Vader, the Duck Commander, a biker (imagine that) or some other character that coincides with what my kids and grandkids are. Still gotta have fun!
We live in the boonies, so we don't get anyone on Halloween. However we do plan on attending the Witch Ride to benefit the MDA on Oct 18th. We haven't figured out our costumes yet. They close the streets for the ride from Boston Harley to Salem MA. Which everyone knows was famous for it's witch's. People line the route and the bikers throw candy to the children. Should be fun.
LoL, best costume I've seen is a big guy with a beard wearing a Hooters outfit
