Drop in MPG after 5,000 mile service on my 2015?

I had my 5k mile service done a couple weeks ago and since then I feel like my MPG has gone down. I am now averaging 31-33 MPG when before I feel it was 35+.
Is my current MPG average for a 2015? Or am I experiencing an issue..?

Let me know your thoughts.

MPG depends on so many variables.

Are you filling at the same station, same pump each and every time?
Are you filling to the same level in the tank each time?
Is the place where you fill up regularly had some maintenance done to their pumps?
Have they had a change in supplier of fuel?
Have the pumps been inspected by the state? Gas Pumps operate within a margin of error at a specific temperature. Independents have been known to cheat consumers before. The pump says one gallon but your are really only getting 9/10s, it adds up after a while, in a typical 6 gal tank that is just over half a gallon more to fill it when empty, a sure sign that your retailer is cheating.
Are you becoming more familiar with the bike and more comfortable with the throttle and exercising your wrist with more frequency from each stoplight?

I highly doubt that an oil/filter change in all 3 holes would make a 2-3 mpg difference. They would have to put some very thick oil in there like a single weight 60 or something like that to cause that much resistance to make it harder to make the bike go.

I think in probably 85-90% of these cases it is human habits that cause the degradation in mileage:smile: = more fun on the road

I don't think I've ever gotten more than 33-34 on my 2015 RGS. Typically I see 32-33. Very disappointing actually...especially compared to my 1998 RG that averaged 48-50 and never got worse than 45 in 17 years.

On my 15 after 57H and a tune with the D&D Fatcats, I've gotten as high as 49 a couple of times on the highway running 75 mph. Most of the time I average 42 to 45 mpg. The worst I got was into a 35 mph headwind and averaged 36-38
