Hey Guys,
If you're over 6' like I am you're probably finding the stock seat is a tight squeeze. Way too far forward, my knees were killing me, and too low for my preference. I took a demo HD Tallboy seat for a test ride a couple of weeks ago, and found I didn't like it. The move back was nice, but it was still too low, and just wasn't comfortable. The rear portion was at an angle, and I couldn't find a good position.
I had a Mustang on my 2003, and I liked it. I rolled the dice and bought the Mustang Super Touring seat with rider backrest on eBay. New seat, and the auction was Buy it Now with a Best Offer option. He accepted my offer of $600 which I thought was a good price.
I did a couple hundred miles with it solo, and another 300 miles or so with my Child Bride on the back. The rear portion is 2" narrower than stock, and I was a bit concerned she wouldn't like it (she loved the stock seat). Turns out she is okay with her section, and I didn't have to move the Tour Pac back. I'm loving the seat. It's super comfortable, the rear portion is straight up and down so I don't feel like I'm setting in a bucket, and the backrest is perfect. It's advertised as 1.75" further back than stock, and same height. It feels maybe an ½" higher, and the foam is denser than the stock seat. Nice...
Anyway, just throwing it out there for taller riders. It was the perfect seat to compliment the perfect bike...
Here's the link to the seller. Like I said, he took $600, maybe he'll do even less. Worth a shot, if anyone is looking...
