Winter list

So there are some definite things that I'm going to do in January:

1. Paint inner fairing or buy painted inner fairing
2. Replace stock floorboards (I have not selected design yet)
3. Get a tuner (thinking a Power Vision)
4. Replace stock headpipe with a Ceramic (probably Fuelmoto)

There are a few more things that I'm thinking about for Feb-Mar timeframe:
1. Saddlebag speaker lids (still have not decided on Cyclesounds, HD, or Sidecar Cycles)
2. Extended saddles bags and matching extended fender
3. Tour pak
4. Custom paint

Obviously, if I decide to do bags, lids, fender and tour pak, I might as well wait to do the inner fairing; especially if I decide to get a custom paint job. All of this depends on what type of bonus I get from my job.

The way our business results have been going, I will probably only be able to do the stuff in The January list. If that is the case, I definitely will not be complaining.

Just got my 16" gangsters in as well as the risers cables and such. Also ordered a set of dragos true duals with dragula mufflers and a thundermax tuner. Ordered a cust shift linkage from nasty baggers.

Im also planning on a windshield and then its on to some other little cosmetic things here and there like dash derby covers mean mug floor boards. Next winter is going to be bags and fenders.

Subject to change or be twisted a bit. But, I have most of the parts ordered for the following "next phase" this winter.....

-Full stretch TopShop bags, no exhaust cutouts
-Street glide fascia, donor piece to cut up and extend/fill in the exhaust openings on the CVO fascia I have on the bike now
-All parts needed to cut, section and rebuild my exhaust to dump under the bags
-Ceramic coat newly mod'd exhaust inside and out........cooler on the legs
-Few last little odds and ends to powder coat black
-Paint chrome trim rings on all gauges vivid black
-Eliminate windshield screws and paint windshield vivid black
-Gauges will be lit green with white needles and numbers, green radio face
-Swap out blue halos with green
-Section and lower front fender
-Paint all the bolts on the motor covers black....this I'm NOT looking forward too

Possible, but currently undecided on. All will happen at some point when I figure out the details
-Stretched tank
-Full blown stereo
-Black out the cover, rocker boxes, rocker box covers, push rod tubes

Good ain't cheap, cheap ain't good.......
West coast ANTI SW IV - CA spring ride.....

Sad to say after this last election I canceled the order for my new RG. I just didn't want to have the payments fearing the outlook for the next four years.
With that said I will be converting my 09 flhtcu to a RG ultra.
All ready have some parts just need to order Inner and outer fairing.
Also 4pt detachable rack to install.
New tires front and rear the list goes on and on.

I joined the forum in August and have learnd so much, have only opened my service manual once. Seems like good community and a great bunch of people.

So far this fall I have done the following:

Rockford Fosgate amp mounted with a H-donut amp bracket. Made mounting a breeze.
6.5 Focal speakers in the faring.
Changed small gauges yellow bulbs to red LED's
Sent tach and speedo to Marty to have back lighting changed to red and needles to white. Super fast turn around and it looks awesome.
HDPDPLUS iPod interface.
HD powered antenna in faring.

Next on the hit list is:

Day Maker headlights.
Mean Mug headlight bezel from Chainsaw
LePera Villian Daddy Long Legs seat.

Got a $1200 HD gift card so new pipes are in order. Looking at racks for the tops of the tour pack and whatever else catches my eye to burn through the gift card. Finally, I will go to one of the Japanese 2nd hand stores to pick up a cheep powered bass tube. I will disect it then mount it in one of the bags. Should keep me out of trouble for a while.

Wow, Looking at all the things that folks are doing made me think of what I was going to do which got me to thinking what I had done ALREADY. I'm not sure if I want to rejoyce or be depressed that I've spent so much on my scooter already. So far, I've added the following (some when I bought it and others since):

Tour-pac rack
Saddlebag guards
Windshields (3)
Chrome front lower kit
12" Chubby mini-apes and the obligatory grip change
Fuel-Moto head pipe
Ceramic coat said FM head pipe
Fuel Moto air cleaner
Screaming Eagle 4" slip on's with Piston end caps.
Kuryakyn highway pegs
Kuryakyn adjustable foot pegs (passenger)
BOOM AMP/front/rear speakers.
Progressive Springs in Front
Progressive Rear shocks

And my next mod.....TW-222 Cam/tune from Fuel Moto sometime after the new year as I just had to buy a new stove and just got my tax bill for this year.
