You have posted 2,187 posts so I would call you a regular on here for sure so YES stick around brother. Man I can tell you first hand it is always hard getting rid of a bike that you LOVE.
I wish I could keep every bike I've owned but it's just not possible. Good luck with the new bike and I would like to see your new sled in some good pictures.

I bet you got a Low Rider! I say stick around around because we all know you'll be back on a Shark at some point. Nothing wrong with riding something different in the mean time.
Yup. Might as well show it now, but it will look a bit different with the wheels from my Road Glide on it. I also have a tinted long ride shield coming.
So far all I've done is put my mustang seat on, change the drips, and change the timer cover from the cheap stocker to a chrome one I had sitting around.
Plans are for the HD Elite Ventilator Air Cleaner, and the Same type of Freedom Performance Mufflers that were on my RG.
I already have a Power Vision, so I'll have to buy the license and then get a tune for it.
Congrats on the new ride. If I ever decide to buy new bike I may go the same route. I like the thought of being able to tour with it and also strip it down quickly into a cruiser.
I have to agree with above. I also think the road king is the best looking bike Harley makes. If I didn't always have a passenger mite think about another one but I must say there is no better than a RG for the open highway. Get those chrome fangs on the forks if you think you need more wind block. Nice looking bike and good luck with your new ride.
I had a 1987 FLHTP - basically an early version police model Road King - that I road for almost 20 years. I generally referred to it as a Bacon Glide. So - I say - as long as you can make up a good name for it...you can call it (X Glide) anything you like..
The white looks awesome on the road king. Congrats.
I looked at the road king and the road glide and quickly realized that I would spend as much if not more money making them tour ready, than buying the ultra.
If I could only own one bike, the road king would be at the top of my list.
I love them stripped down with beach bars, and built up with tour pak, lowers, and batwing.
It helps big time that this bike came with a tour pack. And that I kept my mustang seat. I'm pretty much just as equipped as my glide was with a tour pack. Looking forward to testing my theory! Lol
I understand you ride what ever you like but I came from a 2011 RKC to a 2015 RGS and I'm interested to know what made you choose the RK? It's a great bike and sometimes I miss it, but do you think you can go without a frame mounted fairing?
I just think after 8 years behind a fairing I'm ready for a change. I did an 8-10 mile test ride and liked it.
Time will tell! Lol.
I out 32,000 on my ultra classic, 43,000 on my shark.
Now it's time to simplify. Just a gut feeling after my demo.
