What he said ^

Just one caveat; make sure you select the right software. There are four choices depending on which radio you have. Just above the "Download Software" button there are four tabs and they are subtle...if you select the wrong one, you will get an error when you plug the USB stick in.

It had me stumped at first because I have a 2016 FLTRXS and it has the "GT" radio/GPS installed. After two failed attempts, I finally picked the right one (second choice) and it installed perfectly. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet, but it reads through the music list on my iPod at least twice as fast as it usually does, and the "Accept" nag screen goes away after about ten seconds without hitting the button (Yay!)

Updated mine this morning, loaded fine, but blew out all my channel presets and I had to send a reset to
the radio from the Sirius website to make that work again.
Not the only one this has happened to according to some other forum posts.

Thanks for the update and the taking the time to break it all down. Glad HD had the foresight to allow updates. My dated car, not so much. Guess we all know updates generally open the door for other inherent problems. Too bad the site doesn't allow access to older updates for "just in case". At least the last time I looked they didn't. Anyway, good riddance to the mandatory accept screen. Thanks again.

My car "allows" updates... for $99 a pop. I did it once & the updated map didn't know about roads that have existed for decades.

As a rule of thumb, I always save the last update file in case I need to roll back.
