I want to put highway pegs on my 2010 Glide. I will be needing mounts and pegs and can only afford to do it once.

Other than looks, what are important things to consider?

I am 6'5" and have a 38-inseam.

Your going to want a set of adjustable long arm so you can adjust them how you need to. Harley an Kuryakyn both sell long arm highway pegs. I also like the switchblades that Kuryakyn sells. Gives you a heal rest. Wish I had my old set. Too cheap to buy a new set. JMO.

My dealer let me hold both the long-arm and short-arm adjustable pegs on mine BEFORE I dropped the $$ on them, just to see which one gave me the best feel. Initially I thought I was going to have to go with the long-arm ones because of my height (6'8", 34" inseam), but actually ended up getting the short-arm ones instead. I currently have them mounted so that they point towards me, but when I was first mounting them I tried them with them pointing away from me, which wasn't bad, but I ended up preferring the feel with them pointing towards me better, tho with a 38" inseam I imagine you'll probably be the opposite, and MIGHT even need the long-arm ones.

As far as the pegs themselves, I ended up with the mini-floorboard ones simply because of the size 16 battleships that I wear. I've found that the bigger surface area leads to better comfort over longer distances.

Here's a picture of my bike that gives a good view of my current setup:

I also installed short arms, long arms set my legs closer to me. Like little stretch position better also have then low which allow me to have the heals on floor boards and foot front on pegs gaining another position to relax leg on long trips. When riding long distance normally don't stop till gas tank empty adjusting leg position give comfort.
If dealer allow for fitment test will help you choose the best fit.

I have the short arms for sale, they don't fit me at all.. 6'5" 34" inseam. The way I have my '94 setup is with just the clamps, pointed away from me, and lower. This allows me a good leg stretch for comfort...

However this is just for me..

I agree with the other riders. Check with your dealer. If they allow you to test fit pegs, DO IT. You will never know until you try!

6' 190 don't know way to measure, maybe knee down:laugh:

Good luck for the try and ride around here.

Was up at Recycle Gear in Arlington (5 to 530 quick left)
two weeks ago, had a few good ums on consignment
askt right sure would let try

I've always used Kury"s, some (rubber up) are better on vibration

whatever, adjust to fold back to 45 degree, great helmet holders
