Us northerners know what will be coming these next few months, freezing temps, snow, ice, salted roads. So before all that nasty weather arrives I got Becky all cleaned up before her winter slumber. She'll be hibernating the cold N.Y. months till warmer weather breaks in spring. So lets see those last pics before winter storage.

Bike looks great!

I'd have to own a Ural 2 wheel drive for winter riding if I had to Park my bike for 4 months. Or at least have some badass 4x4 and ORV areas to have fun.

Not to leave out, a much larger house with attached heated shop where I could work on bikes and exercise.

Also, would have to live a lot closer to work, or have the option to work from home.

Nice that you have time to perform upgrades and maintenance without cutting into riding time. I wait for a washed out weekend to work on the bikes, or do it after dark.

We can have 40 degree temp swings from sunrise to midday here in TN. If there is zero risk of black ice, I will ride the 26 miles to work in order to enjoy the 50 - 75 mile ride home.

I'd looooove to have a 2wd Ural w/sidecar!!! It would be a blast to rip on in the snow, but that would also take up even more garage space! You really got my gears turning about getting a Ural now lol, thanks!

IMO it's never too hot to ride. BTW it actually gets hotter up north than here in SE Florida, we rarely ever reach 100, though the humidity does. >:)

I feel your pain. When I use to live in Michigan I used to hate putting the bike in the storage barn for months. I would have brought it in the house but the ex-wife would have had something else to bitch about

I live in Northern VA and ride year round everyday no matter the temp as long as there is no moister below freezing. Gerbing provides the warmth. I don't ride when salt or brine has been put on the roads. I get several days of riding thru the cold clear winter days. The bike don't sit more than two weeks thru the winter.

My last ride was 12/1. I had the afternoon off so the wife & I went for a lunch ride. Snow and ice blanket the ground now. Winter in N.E.
I just keep on thinking about the heat/humidity in NC in July. Can't come soon enough.

I do try to ride all year round here in New York, but as soon as snow comes along with the road salt and sand it comes to an end. If it clears up i will pull it back out as I can't go 4 months without riding. I would loose my mind.

Yesterday i left my house around 9:30 am. to go to my parents to do some yard work and set up Christmas lights. When it came tim to leave it was 33 degrees and windy as hell. I pulled out the heated jacket and gloves and was toasty warm for the hour ride home.

When it do decide to put it away i will post a pic...

everyone's bikes look great ! I hope you all can get them out as soon as possible......
