Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a new software update available as of 1/17/2017 1.20.3

Got off my lazy butt and did the dealer map update today also. Comes in handy some times on a trip.
It was painless.

Loaded 1.20.3 but haven't really used it yet... raining for the next few days.
I usually just jump in & load the new versions rather than wait for any feedback. It only takes a few minutes & my experience has been that some folks have problems when others do not.
We'll see...

It's pretty common in software versioning to not necessarily list all of the bug fixes. Encountered this all the time at work... before long a client was several versions behind & was out of compliance for support.

Be glad you did not download 1.20.2 it was a dog and they pulled it and reverted back to 1.20.1. My head unit would just power off and I had to pull the main fuse to get it to start back up. SUCKED!! All was OK once I put 1.20.1 back in.

Does it still include Siri for iPhones?

Seen several questions about what v1.20.3 includes. Just to recap, here are the change logs for both v1.20.2 and v1.20.3 (which primarily fixed the bug problems in v1.20.2), all of which should be included in this latest release. I know of a few folks who were asked to beta test the release and they generally reported good results. I rode using the newest release for ~200 miles today and did not see any problems, but have not attempted to test all of the new features. That said, we've not seen a clean upgrade release in a while (if ever), so be on the lookout for some undocumented "features".

The Dealer Location Update file is new as well, so I wanted to offer one additional point regarding loading, as it is slightly different than v1.20.2:

- Download from H-D site
- Unzip the zip file: Harley_POI_Maps
- Open the folder: Harley_POI_Maps
- Copy BOTH the nng folder and swdl disc image file to your USB drive (in v1.20.2 we used the navisync folder)
- Load into your Infortainment system the same as the system update

Hint: If your Infotainment screen gets stuck on "Authenticating", something has gone awry. Grab an(other) beer and start over. Good luck!

For the last update v1.20.2, it seemed to be determined that the Dealership download would only work with a windows based computer and not Apple which I have. Do you know or does anyone know if that is still the case, as I got an error message downloading the dealership info just like with v1.20.2?

Thanks

Other than the Dealer Location Update (which I detail in Post #20), it's pretty self explanatory. Go to H-D website >> Owner >> Software Download and select the type of radio you have, as there are different loads for the 4.3, 6.5, and 6.5 CVO radios. Do the Infotainment update first, erase the files on the USB drive (or use another), and then do the Dealer Location Update.

I downloaded the CVO version. deleted the CVO name as suggested, and renamed it the same as the "Premium radio" which is the Infotainment system I have on my 2017 RGS. Doesn't work for me. I get the "corrupt /not compatible" screen when I insert the thumb drive. I loaded the actual 1.20.3 on it just fine though!

Maybe put the beer down. Sleep on it . Try again tomorrow with a cup of coffee instead.
Have you consider downloading the file again. There is always a chance it is corrupted .

I dunno. Suggest you check with your J&M Audio tech to see what their flash entailed and whether it needs to be done after each Infotainment update, which are released ~2 times per year.

I did the update and I think it sounds worst. First time I've had the bike out for a ride this winter and rode down to the dealer and had them install it. It sounds like my speakers are blown. Have biketronics amp and speakers thought they sounded great before. Hope the speakers aren't
blown and it's just the down load. Think I'll put the old down load in and see if there's any difference
