Have you ever heard of a Baker DD6 transmission being damaged by the horsepower and torque from a S&S 124?? Is the OD6 recommended for an engine such as that one??
Just talked to Baker yesterday. DD6 is good to 130/130 is what they are preaching. The new Grudge Box coming out soon will supposedly handle whatever you throw at it.
I have heard the same and was told the reason my shit box has the DD7 is because of this - The Grudge is supposed to be the bad mutha coming out soon - Baker's site and whole Co is a pretty cool place - I get their news letters and they are ALWAYS entertaining
Thanks for the replies! My bike dyno'd at 132hp/144 torque. I installed my DD6 back when I had my stock 88 inch twin cam. I decided to keep it when I bought my S&S 124. It lasted two years with the 124. Time to put in the OD6 tranny.
My buddy has a Revtec 6 spd in his 03 King with a 100 inch kit and cams runs that bitch hard no issues over 7 years.
