Harley Cool Fan

Has anybody tried to fit the 2017 Cool fan to a 15 or 16 model? I like the idea of pulling heat off the back cylinder and throwing the heat down to the pavement. I know the fan is run by the computer, but the fan doesn't know how its getting 12volts, so I was planning on just putting a toggle switch.
I guess somebody has to be the first one to figure out the details, I am just hoping it's not me.......LOL
Bigfoot and BG1960 like this.

So far all I've been told is that it does not fit the older bikes. But I'm with you, seems there should be a way. I'll be following to see what's said.

I thought there would be more interest in fitting that fan on our "older" bikes. I got the fan mounted, took most of the day Sunday. Had to pull the exhaust to be able to get a drill in there to make a hole for the top mounting bolt. Wiring is next, but had to order the factory switch panel to try and make a clean install. I am hoping to make my blast furnace ride able this summer

I am interested in how this works for you. I thought about it but that's all the further I got.

I'm interested in this. I have a pre-Rushmore bike though so have nothing to contribute other than drinking beers while reading about your hard work. Lol.
If you make it work on yours I might try making it work on mine. Cheers.

I don't know what the harley cooling fan looks like but you guys with the pre Rushmore bikes can add a fan assist oil cooler. I put one on my bike a few years ago and I like it. It from Ultra Cool
