Usually, about this time of year, there are a few floaters out about who's gonna pitch for the next Shark Week.

Well, since the most current two have been Texas and western Canada, I'd support a SW centered anywhere from Blue Ridge, GA. to Ashville, NC. Also, while we're wishin' .... for SW8 I'd love to see one in the Rockies, preferably in Colorado. "Riding the Rockies" is spectacular. Much of the best riding of my life has been in Colorado on both sides of the divide. The ski areas and mountain hotels are usually very negotiable with groups in the non-skiing months. It would be a slam dunk for gorgeous rides.

With hardly any members actually from CO, it would have to be someone form outside the area to host CO as a destination. I for 1 would love to have SW in CO.

Maybe a group of us that keep suggesting it cn put our heads together to make it happen??

A few of us here in the Tank from Colorado. Not likely a majority of us will make upcoming SW so presentation for 2017 is possible but not likely - plus time to research suitable locations for meeting during prime riding season will take some time. Prime riding season here is like everywhere else where you have snow and rain - the weather gets nice and the resorts fill up. Good news is there are options - South West (Gunnison and Durango), Central West (Grandjunction area / Glenwood Springs), North West (Steamboat, Grand Lake). Hats off to those who have done this and are undertaking it. One heck of a lot of effort and commitment! I for one would like to see SW in Colorado and will commit to helping to make it happen if I can get our Tank Mile High members to join the effort. Roll call begins for 2018 if the response is voiced.

Another suggestion for NC (not far fromAsheville at the head of the Dragon) is the lodge at Fontana Dam. I was there at a Mini rally several years ago, the room rates were reasonable as I recall...

Is that in a dry county? Medic Tim and I was checking out some places in Cherokee until we found out it's a dry county. I know just over the hill in Robbinsville it's also dry.

After factoring in where we've already had SW events and when, my personal dream list of future SW locations would look something like this:

SW 7 2017 - No. Carolina
SW 8 2018 - Wisconsin
SW 9 2019 - Colorado
SW10 2020 - Gettysburg v.2.0
