To my knowledge the mustache crash bar does not fit glides. If your looking for that style you might like the LindBy crash bar

By and large, the most popular is the Lindby Mustache bar. Damn nice IMO.

Another great choice is the Paul Yaffe Monkey Engine Guard. I will be buying this as it matches my new Monkey Bars

That monkey engine guard is sweet. Probably expensive as hell though.

Page 410 of the 2012 Motor Company catalogue displays a mustache engine guard that looks really great to me. But it also looks like they do not fit RGs. BTW, the 800+ page HD catalogue may be obtained from the HD website free of charge.

If you use a hidden fairing brace like the hells foundry. That should open the selection up for crash bars.

2015 RGS 103" Denim Black, Drago's 2:1, SE Heavy Breather, SEPST, Tuned. That will do for now.

When I bought my bike it already had the Hells Foundry hidden fairing brace installed. I was having trouble finding an engine gaurd that would work because the hidden mount uses the same upper bolt location. I understand that my solution isnt for everyone, but it cost less than $15 and it sure is nice to be able to strech out again. Sorry about the size of the pics, not sure how to resize.

You only need to drop your bike once to realize the importance of the crash bar. The thing has saved my ass more than once, no way I could remove it or chop it down like that. I like the look of your modified design POW-MIA, but this is one where function wins over for me.

I ordered this with a set of handlebars 2 weeks ago. Can't wait to get it in.

I had a Lindby bar on my old Road Star (Yamaha's excellent copy of the softtail heritage), and it was excellent. Very well made, everything lined-up right, it was solid as a rock, and the chrome held-up well to these Texas bugs. I never tested its ability to protect the engine from the ground, but I'm quite sure that it is as solid as any other option. It was a tank.

You can pay more, but I don't think you'll find better than the Lindby bars.
