I have been wearing Red Wing boots forever, I love them. I have found that on a damp/wet surface they can be, let's call it slippery. This wasn't an issue while riding my Fat Boy. Now, with my new RGU I feel a little bit insecure. Any suggestions for an anti slip good Boot would be greatly appreciated.
Safe rides all! Keep the rubber side down and shiny side up!
i work on ships so have lots of wet deck experience, if you have new boots try taking a wire brush to the soles rough em up some and they will give you a better purchase. if you are looking for new boots i used to wear the converse work boots with composite toe, but sadly they stopped making the work boot but sold the design to reebok check online on amazon or just google reebok work boot. you can get them in 6" or 8" and they are very comfortable. but still rought up the sole on all new boots.
Same here - Took about 2 rides to break them in and now they fit like sneakers and with the Vibram Sole, they have plenty o grip when duck walking on the Sofa
This is what sold me on them.......Billy Don't Lie
Beyond simple aesthetics, I think boots are a lot like helmets. The fit is individual. What fits one foot perfectly just doesn't work for another. It's not just the size, but the shape of any boot that determines how they feel & perform. I'd suggest going somewhere with a good selection & trying a few brands on.
FWIW, I really like Timberland Pro tactical boots. Fit me great & I can walk all day in them.

I definitely agree. I am quite picky in what fits me right and feel. I wouldn't purchase blind. Merely looking for what people feel work best for them and then headed out to try a bunch on. Thanks for the replies, more please.
Whats your budget? You can spend $50 or $500. Absolutely amazing boots. I would have never spent that much on a pair of boots. Christmas present from my wife and the girls. Just rode 2700 miles with them and loved every minute of it. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rokker-urban-racer-boots
I love the Cruiserworks Side-Ziper boots. Easy on and off, good support and still easy to walk around in. Most motorcycle boots with good support are not comfortable to walk around all day in.
I wear these. I get about 2 years out of my Harley boots. This is my third pair and they are well worth what I pay for them. I wear them everyday, not just for riding. Comfortable and good grip of all the pavement types. When I wear these out I will be back buying another pair. They are made by Wolverine boot Co. So the warranty is good to go, I had a zipper break and just sent a picture to them and they shipped a brand new pair out.
A trick I learned on boot break in a long time ago...
Get them soaked, I mean wet on the inside soaked and then put them on. wear them (and walk in them) until they are totally dry.
From that point on they will be essentially custom made for your individual foot and you should have no problems with blisters or them not fitting right on the top left part of your foot etc.
Hopefully I'll never have to suffer the consequences of not wearing boots, I just can't bring myself to endure the discomfort. I wear sketchers slip on loafers.. Not much protection but they are comfortable.
I always wear lace up boots. Per the doctor they did provide enough protection to keep me from losing my lower leg in an accident, was broadsided on 91 FXR & just above the ankle was point of impact with the cars bumper.
I wear red wings with vibram souls without traction issues . Red wings can come in different souls.
I love timberland pro boots for work, riding, yard work. Ive got like 4 different styles. The way the boots open up its way easier to get my foot in and out. Ive got size 13 so it gets difficult. Im an auto mechanic ive had to replace the insoles a few times but my work boots are the most comfortable I've ever had.
Double H harness boots, I like the steel toe version myself. Think I've got 4 years of almost daily wear on mine and they will probably need to be resoled this summer. I want to say I picked them up for about $150
