Hey, just a new (old) dude from Nebraska jumping in. Got the itch to look at the new RGU and took it for a test ride. That's when the drooling started. Hope to use you guys for info to help make the decision on which one. Not initially a fan of liquid cooling. Thinking maybe RGS with personal touch to get it right. Comments?
Well hello from San Diego Ca. - what ever you choose will be yours!! RGS owner here and love everything about it. Have the quick detach tour pack best of both worlds. Good luck on which ever choice you make. Either one, "you can't go wrong"!!!
Your decision should be based on where your going on it!
Around town and a few longer rides or coast to coast and lots of places in between.
More later if you wish.
Yep
That's what I did and I couldn't be happier.
This is the right place for sure if your looking for information on the RG's.
Welcome to the site.

My decision was a monetary one. By the time I added to the RGS to get it the way I wanted it, I would be a lot further in than getting the RGU, and i ended up with more bike.
The other side of the monetary equaton is when I sell or trade it off. A RGU has a higher residual value than a modified RGS.
If I wasn't touring, I would have gotten a RGS in one of the custom colors and been happy.
I like the look of rg/rgs w/out tourpack. I love having the tourpak, esp when wife is riding with. I don't think you can go wrong either way. Welcome from va
Welcome from SW Oklahoma. Either one you choose, or either way you go with it, you're gonna love it. No matter which one you get, you'll be adding to it, it's just the way it works..
