New to this form - perfect for me.

I am awaiting the 2016 arrivals and then the mods begin. One of the changes will be the audio system. I plan to keep the stock unit and want new fairing speakers, lowers added with speakers plus an amp. I want something good.
What are some complete systems you are running? There are so many different posts I don't know where to begin.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The best amp is ______________ and the best speakers are ___________ . Many may chime in and fill those blanks for you, you will get many opinions.

It may be helpful if you indicated your budget for these upgrades.

I personally like Hawg Wired 300 amp - pretty compact and light had in my 2013 & 2004 RG now in my 2015
love the fact that you can dial gains and frequency as you like with your choice of speakers and does not run hot
- for speakers I tried Infiniti Kappas - SUCK /
JLAudio $500.00 speakers - Did not measure up
/ JM - which I should have gone with from the start as did in my 13 - and 04 RG - In my opinion best sounding front speakers to date (without using bag or lowers speakers) - JM got my vote!

2 pairs hybrid audio 6.5 coaxel speakers. A hi end amp JLAUDIO make the best amps.you will need 100 watts per channle (speaker) do not buy a $100.00 400 watt on amp. On line. A good quality amp can not be built for a $100.00 good amp power kit also available from JL audio a line levle magic box or a proper audio down load less tan a $1000.00 and it will blow your mind.

I have a Pioneer HU and Hertz speakers all around. HSK XL's in fairing, HCX's in my lowers, 6x9's in the lids and I'm hoping to fab up my tour pack pods and run a pair of ST44 horn tweeters all powered from a Hertz HDP4 amp. I have some serious tuning to do but overall it is freaking loud. LOL..

good luck. There's a million ways to skin a cat here.

I just installed a JL Audio MHX280/4. It is a small 4 channel marine amp that retails at $ 249.00. Defiantly a great amp especially for the money. Its small fits above the radio in a road glide, very efficient has built in crossovers can be 2,3 or 4 channel. I hooked up JL audio C5's (6.5 in front and 5x7's in the saddle bags) to it and they sound great. I am swapping out the OEM head unit for a Sony marine later this week. I will post my install once complete.
