Had some time to mess with it last night and seems to work as advertised. Didn't have to reset alot of the personal setting either after this upgrade which was nice. Loaded quicker too.

Anyone else having trouble with it..?

I have loaded it to my thumb drive twice, but it won't install. Keep getting the error message that the file is corrupt or incompatible.

Make sure you download the proper file for your radio, either the 4.3, 6.5GT or CVO. Then when it downloads to your computer, unzip the files and copy them to the flash drive individually. Make sure they are in the root directory or the only thing on the flash drive. There have been people failing to download correct file and or not unzipping the files.

Downloading the correct file (6.5 for my RGS) and moving just the .iso file over to the USB drive (like I always have). Do I need to move the text file as well..? Or just put the whole folder on there..?

I am a tech savvy guy, no issues with this in the past which is why I am a little confused.

Just did mine here too. Super easy. 5-minutes.

Haven't taken it on the road yet but, it sounds like I'm getting more out of the stock speakers before distortion.
Once it dries up a bit today, hopefully I'll get to road test it.

Good to hear there are no issues... just d/l'd the software.... I hope there is no issue with aftermarket audio flashes... there have been some issues in the past and very hesitant to do this.. but screw it...

Downloaded the updated version then installed with no issues, at first listen the sound does seem cleaner. Riding tomorrow will be the true test

Im glad everyone has had positive results....guess my luck ran out. Mine is much quieter now. I have upgraded to an amp and aftermarket speakers. It is a lot quieter. It dont distort but that because it dont get loud enough. Anyone know if there is any way to flash it back to the old version. Dammit. I cant hear it at highway speeds anymore. Prolly have to get the download everyone keeps talking about. The only download I had at the stealership is for when they put the rear speakers in. After that I added and amp and it blew the Harley speakers then blew the base Pioneers. This sucks.

Just updated mine and having the same issue that I had with the previous update. Everything works fine except when I listen to my flash drive. It will play songs but it won't skip tracks when I use the left joystick. Anyone else having this issue?

Screen Frozen

I'm trying to do the update. Followed the instructions to the point where it asked if I wanted to download the new software. The usb is already connected. Now it says connect the usb to finish the install.
The screen stays frozen with that message. I pulled the fuse once to reboot the process. Same stuff. I used macbookpro and a formatted usb.
Any thoughts?

I use a macbookpro as well and have not had that problem. I would remove everything from the flash drive and start from scratch. This is what I do: after downloading the zip file, it has always unzipped after the download automatically, I move just the .iso file to the flash drive. I place the switch to accessory, after the radio boots/starts up; I plug in the flash drive. At that time it asks if I want to continue and I select yes.

Not being rude, but I believe the radio needs to be turned on before you plug in the flash drive. If you have already done these in that order, I am not sure what might be going on.

Thanks for the heads up on the software update. This is the second time I've had to update the software, it updated without a hitch. I will not be able to tell if the upgrades have improved the system until I get my bike down to Fla, in a couple of weeks, and ride it.

Updated mine. I went to HD website ,downloaded update . copied file to desktop , copied to a NEW 16GB flash drive . copy the file that says {swdl_boombox_6.5GT.iso } on NEW flash drive ,printed instructions off HD site . worked fine. Iam no computer guru . piece of cake .

I formatted an old thumb drive, saved both files to it, plugged it into the bike, said yes to the upgrade and let it do it's thing. Amazingly simple. I haven't had the bike long enough to note the differences but I'm happy it's so easy and will be less worried about it next time.

I have no problem using the joystick to skip through songs on a thumb drive. Overall, I pleased with the infotainment system, though I'm considering speaker lids. I'm going to Bluetooth my music to headphones. I don't find that I can listen to the stock system at highway speed. That said, this system is leaps and bounds ahead of what I had on my last bike.
