Okay ladies, I have noticed this now open both my Glides, the Radio is MUCH louder than the BT to my phone playing iTunes - I see a port in the right glove box but assume that is just for charging shit? - I want to be able to rock my tunes at the volume the radio plays and see that to get XM, I need to drop about 5 bills to run it through the Dash or add a Garmin off the Bars - Will it play at the Radio Level or my BT Phone Level if I go the XM route?
The Cable in the glove box will charge and play your tunes " Phone, music player what ever but, if you are listing to your music via blue tooth through your phone, your phone volume is also in play. Make sure you phone is turned up. I put mine about 80% seems to me the best for clarity.
Holy Snappers.........connected the phone via the Dongle for iTunes last night and the volume is night and day over Bluetooth - Soooooo much louder and it even displays the album artwork after a min or so - Cannot wait to try the other adapter for the headphone jack to see how that works
Thx Lads.......whole new love for the new scoot now
Bluetooth audio is compressed. Wired is always better than wireless, however wireless is more convenient than wired but it all depends on what's most important, sound or convenience.
Does the stock setup in the '15 / '16 Road Glides have a USB port that can be used?
I have an aftermarket radio in my '13 and I use a 32GB USB drive that is tiny. I plug it into the face of the radio. If you have a USB connection this may be something you could use to load up all of your music on. Tiny and out of the way.
Well, mine came over the weekend and when I tried it, I noticed with the Headphone Plug, I needed to Bluetooth the device as the headphone jack does not "connect" with the USB Dongle - Did not even try and just went back to the hardwire option - Oh well, only $3
