Hello I'm new here but I have a 2011 road glide flaming eagle special edition, but I ride 2 up often and my fiancé has a hard time hearing the music past 65. So I wanted know does anyone recommend some after market speakers and or if I should stay with Harley boom audio? Also if anyone recommends saddlebag speakers kits? Along with that does anyone know of some good installation videos?

Welcome to the forum.
Infinity kappa's 6.5" are good speakers for around a HD. Hertz are better for around triple that price. Your going to want to add an amp to the system too if you really want to hear the tunes.

Hey John,

That's a good looking ride

Speakers by themselves are not going to give you much. You need an amp to really get good clear loud music at HWY speeds.

IMO...do not get an amp that puts out less than 100 watts per channel @ 4 ohms. Your HD radio will start distorting somewhere between 5/8 and 3/4 volume, so you need enough watts to be putting out at least 75-90 watts RMS at 3/4 volume.

Motorcycle stereo has different challenges than car stereo. The equipment you buy needs to be designed to live in high heat, heavy moisture, strong vibration and running at high wattage for long periods of time. With a car stereo we turn it up to high wattage for a couple of songs and then usually turn it back down. With a MC we turn it up to high wattage for much longer periods of time and if you have bought cheap car amps and speakers, sooner or later it's going to fail.

You don't have to spend a great deal of $$$ to get a system that will make you smile and that will live in a MC environment.

NO Cage Audio offers a 2 speaker system built around the Hybrid Audio Technologies (HAT) Imagine Series 6.5" coaxial speakers (they are waterproof) and a Diamond Audio Micro 2V2 amp that puts out 150 watts RMS @ 4 ohms, we include the 5.25" to 6.5" speaker adapters, amp wiring kit, 16 Gauge O2 free speaker wire and all connectors. You can hear this system loud and clear at 80 MPH, it will make you smile.

We sell this system shipped to your door for $499.00

@sloride has a pretty good deal going on Hybrid Audio speaker set ups. Definitely a go to for a drop in speaker kit that will be night and day of where you sit now.

I'm currently running an entire Digital Designs set up (8 speakers in total) pushed by a Diamond Audio 4v2 amp. I cannot turn the system all the way up, as it is far too loud. My wife hears my music before she hears the bike when I'm coming home. While riding, she can hear everything crystal clear.

Both of you can be happy with a two speaker set up, if you get the right components. Get yourself a nice, high quality set of speakers (6.5 in) and a amp that can match the specs of the speaker (or vice versa), and you'll be able to hear everything at highway speeds.

Just a heads up, everyone has their own opinion when it comes to audio. So before you pull the trigger on what you want, be sure it is what you want. Things can get expensive rather quickly...ask me how I know lol
