I am appealing to Shark owners in the DFW Area. :crying: Can anyone recommend a good audio guy in the DFW area? I'm not pleased with my current setup. Basically I want to CLEARLY HEAR my stereo at 80MPH with a good strong cross wind, through my helmet. With the Stock Stereo, the Rockford Fosgate amp I already have and about $1000.00 I should be able to find someone to hook me up.
I could be wrong but I really just don't think that Boom Audio, Hogtunes or out of the box J&M Audio will give me the LOUD & CLEAR I am looking for.
So I would really appreciate any info you guys can offer.
I have a couple of questions that will help me understand what we can and cannot do with your budget.
1. What year is your bike?
2. Are you running lowers speakers and tour pack speakers now?
3. What RF Amp do you have now?
4. Are you going to do your own install or do you want us to do it? We also do an Install assist, where you R&R the faring, seat and tank and we hookup the amps and speakers and tune the system.
I have a 2012 FLTRU, I have stock speakers in tour pack pods but some Kickers that will work and are rated for the amp I have installed, but am open to suggestions because I have not opened the box yet. In the fairing I have 6-1/2" Kickers but would like something a bit better because they just blew out,so did the Focals and Polks that I previously had in there. I have a RF PBR 300x4 and room in fairing for one more. I want speakers in my lowers as well. I use my saddle bags and tour pack so I really don't want to put anything in them.
The system I would recommend for you utilizing your RF PBR 300x4 is as follows. (If you have blown out your Kickers, Focal's and Polk speakers, I think you have got your gain set too high trying to make it louder and are sending a lot of distortion to your speakers and that is causing them to blow)
Rear Pods and Lowers setup:
Push your rear pods and Lowers with your PBR 300x4 amp.
Keep your Kicker Speakers for your rear pods
HAT Imagine series 6.5" speakers for your lowers
Hawg Wired Rear Speaker breakout Harness
Faring Setup:
Diamond Audio Micro2v2 Amp (150 Watts RMS x 2 channels)
HAT Unity 6.5" Mid-Bass & Legatia 20MM Tweeters componet setup
Amp wiring kit
16 Ga O2 free speaker wire
New Hawg Wired Roadglide speaker grills with the above tweeters pre-mounted
This setup comes with the Tweeters already mounted in new speaker grills. It's the best of both worlds, convenience of a coaxial speaker and the great sound and tune ability of components.
This Unity U6V2 is an exceptional mid-bass paired with a Audiophile level tweeter. This tweeter is what sets this setup apart from the other "Pro" offerings out there. This Legatia L1V2 tweeter has been part of multiple IASCA World championships in the last couple of years. When you combine these components with a tuneable competition level passive crossover, you have a system designed to present exceptional sound at speed (70-80 MPH in the wind)
nother very good audio guy in DFW area here ,,, talk to Frank ,,,,,

Well guys,Sloride showed up on Saturday and got to work. First of all he had to undo the setup I had installed,he said no big deal but I am sure he was just trying to spare my feelings,LOL. Then had had to modify the lowers I had bought so he could run the speaker wires. Then he had to go to two stores to find the small female connections for spade connectors on the Kickers I already had for the rear. He is very cautious to make sure everything is just right,he would not even THINK of cutting my wiring harness, which made him have to really rack his brain to get everything wired perfect. I must say standing in my garage after he was done and watching him tune two amps with 6 speakers it was defining, but today I actually got out on the highway at 80+ speeds with a really good strong cross wind, wearing my full face helmet with the shield closed,I was MUCH MORE than pleased. I could hear every song off of my iPhone,FM Radio, and my CD player. Hell I can even hear my rear speakers without a passenger.
All in all I must say that I highly recommend Sloride, the fact that he even came to my house do to my install makes it just that much better. Hell even Doctors don't make house calls anymore. He is thorough, friendly and even let me QC a few times. Please give this artist your business, you won't be disappointed.
Pictures are on their way,

I had a pair of J&M speakers in my 2010 and they were a huge improvement with a life time warranty I never used Traded the bike last year still sounded great10 years old. So I am coming out of a dealership and this guy has a new RGS with Soundz front speakers and amp period he pushes the volume to 11 NO distortion sounded great so good bag lids would be a waste. I am not a sound person but I like clear music but this was a whole new level of sound that I thought would cost much more. Good luck
