Fast fix is to slip a piece of zip tie into the hole and then thread the screw back into the hole. Long term fix is job weld into the hole nd then retap or put veg oil on the screw band push into the hole hen the job weld is soft. Also a little abs pipe glue into the hole will refill and then you can tap a new hole

I took mine into the dealer and they called harley since i was apparently the first one to come in with this issue. Harley said to use a jb weld epoxy but the dealer couldnt find the specific one they wanted so harley sent me a replacement outer fairing.

Wow they must have stripped them out, pretty sure that wouldn't work for those of us that removed the fairing ourselves.

I had one stripped, and my painter gave me a good tip. Put one or two drops of Gorilla Glue in the hole. Let it dry thoroughly (like overnight). Drive the screw in slowly and let it cut new threads. Worked great. (Do not put too much in the hole or the 'tower' will break apart when you try to drive the screw in.

I did this while I had the fairing off (inner was being painted). I even put a very small drop in the other holes. New each one is good and solid.
