Ouch. I really know the pain. A few years ago I developed Adhesive Capsulitis, aka "Frozen Shoulder." Rather than surgery the recommended fix was having a physical therapist essentially rip the adhesions apart. Excruciating does not begin to describe the level of pain. I'd rather have ten root canals (actually I have had ten root canals). But you somehow find the will to get on the bike and ride, despite the pain. I was able to rationalize it as therapy. I predict you'll do the same. Remember, pain is just weakness leaving the body!
What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?

I had surgery in May for a completely detached rotator cuff and a torn bicep tendon. Rotator cuff could only be partially repaired and it was the end of August before I was able to ride. I feel your pain!
Be careful, STUPID doesn’t care what direction it comes at you from!!!
