I know this is an old thread...... but after a little thought and talking to the folks at Pickard, I think I'm going to buy their 23" triple trees, and install the regular length monotubes. What I hope to accomplish and what I'm told it should do is:
1. Only raise me 1/2" so I'll still have the lowered look.
2. Increase my suspension travel, I'm happy with what I have, but more can't hurt.
3. Improve handling, I already think it handles good, but if it gets even better, no problem.
4. Put my front wheel out a couple of inches..... right now when I hit a big bump my fender sometimes contacts my oil cooler this will be a big benefit IMO.
I don't know when I'm going to do this Mod, but I just bought regular monotubes this week. I'll be looking for a deal on a 23" tree now, and another bonus, if I do decide to go 23, I'll have the hardest part of the job done.
