Oops...
Anyone else had the thumbscrew caps fall off?
I'm talking about the thumbscrews that are used to attach the windshield to the brackets.
I stopped yesterday for fuel and was cleaning the bugs off the shield when one popped off. I discovered that the black part is just a cover (or cap) on the allen-head bolt. Tried pressing it back on... no luck.
Anyway, I like the look better without the caps, but the bolts are not black. May have to look at Ace or Copper State Bolt & Nut.

Lowes and Home Depot also sell appliance touch up paint pens in black that are very handy- a dark black enamel specifically designed for metal. Good stuff.

Once I have the position set where I want to keep the shield at, I was planning on changing the bolts any how. I perfer a bolt you just can't walk up to and twist out with your fingers.
