Just curious. What's the total number attending as of now. Sucks hotels are sellin out.

I'm actually thrilled that we are fully booking the locations! There are however plenty of options nearby.
Last year at SWI I had decided to stay out at a B&B 2 miles out from the base hotel. It was just fine and I did not miss out on anything. Simply required that I behaved my Drink intake when we headed back to base for a few cold ones after the day's ride as I had to ride us safely back to the B&B.

I would like to share an experience with you, about drinking and driving.
As you well know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the
Authorities on our way home from the odd social session over the years. A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends at the Marriott Hotel and had a few too many beers and some rather nice Johnny Walker, and some Jagermeister, and a few shots of Jack..
Knowing full well I may have been " slightly" over the limit, I did something
I've never done before: I took a bus home.
Sure enough I passed a police road block but as it was a bus,
They waved it past.
I arrived home safely without incident, which was a real surprise, as I
have never driven a bus before........ and am not sure where I got it.

I just, today, looked at the dates and location for this SW II.
I will be leaving on my vacation on Monday afternoon, July 16, 2012 from SoCal. I am going home to TN. If I was to try to come up to Iowa , I would not make it until Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
What is happening Thursday?
