GPS:Anti-reflective shield
I believe it was on this site that some folks had tried this producr Nu Shield to reduce glare on their GPS. I tried it following the directions and once on the GPS no longer had touchscreen capability. Thus for my Nuvi 200, it was useless. Anyone else have such a problem? i have written to the NuShield folks for an answer but thought I woulf throw it out here also.
thanks
paul

No, I didn't have that issue. I put it on my 665, and I couldn't see the screen. Really sort of useless for me.

GPS anti-glare screen cover update
Well the NuShield folks suggested I make sure the cover was cut so it did not touch the sides at all. Tried it but no go. Took the unit off so it was on its own battery and it worked fine!? So back on and after jiggling the powern connection, all works fine. Tomorrow I'll see if it is worth a damn.
Guess I need to be more careful, lol.

The NuShield works fine with my TomTom 540XXL. The screen looks darker, but it is not washed out - it is very usable and the touch screen is fine, works well wearing gloves unlike the iPhone. I had a very sunny day test yesterday. Good product for me.

NuShield on Zumo 665 review
I ordered the ready cut version. It was a snap to put on. I did a putt today in the hot CA sun. I could see the screen much better, but it's nothing like my old Zumo 550 screen - that was bright! I've had no issues with the touch screen - everything works fine.
Is it worth the money? So far, yes. It is an improvement over the stock screen. I'm actually thinking about getting one for my iPhone now.

shield
Got mine put it on and it is much more visible in bright daylight.... no effect on touch screen. I also put a couple of washers Iron aces and Zumo mount to tilt it back slightly.....seems to help.

Recently took a 1400 mile trip to Laughlin. I will say the Nushield was a help in the bright desert sun. My screen was a lot more readable than stock although it will never be as bright as my zumo 550. I had no issues with the touch screen.
I think it's well worth a few bucks.

Are you sure you ordered the DayVue version? Is it installed correctly?
My Gps is MUCH easier to see in the Daylight now. It definitely isn't as bright as it could be but the screen doesn't "wash" out like it did before and for me that has been the key. I have yet to find a situation where I haven't been able to read my Gps with it on. I used to run into that situation almost daily before I installed it.
From what I have read here and seen when I have been out boating with my buddy and his group people seem to have really good luck with it far more often then not.
