Default Clutch Cable

What's involved in changing the clutch cable on a new style 6 speed transmission. I have the handlebar end covered but haven't received my service manual yet so I don't know what to expect inside the transmission end cover.

The same idiot dealer who refused to address the head shake on my 2011 RG Ultra (told me it was normal) and forgot to tighten bolts on the brakes and shocks, also lubricated the clutch cable as part of the 1k service causing the clutch engagement to no longer be smooth. Apparently the cable is teflon coated and lubricating it ruins it.

No cable to lube it is hydraulic clutch.

This is what I did and I'm no mechanic so it cant be that tuff.

First loose the adjuster which has a boot on it in front of the motor. After that you should be able to disconnect the cable on the bar. If you haven't done it yet your bike should be on a 2x6 or 8. That leans the bike just enough so you dont loose and tranny oil. I have not taking the cover off with the new dual exhaust yet. You will need to take it off or loosen it to get at the bottom bolts. After you have the cover in your hand you can pull the old cable off the bike. There are a few zip ties you need to cut for this to happen. You can then remove the cable from the cover. I had trouble installing the new cable but all I needed was to run the threads with a chase to clean them up.

Not on a 2011 Road Glide Ultra. It's most definitely a cable operated clutch
