Default Water resistant iPhone Case w/ Charging and Audio

Well, it's been about a year since I got my Iron Aces mount and iSimple cable installed on TRXEE. I love it. It is a great setup. However, I have been out a few times where I had to pull over and stow my phone, due to rain. I would have hoped by now that someone would have created a water resistant case that accommodates the 30 pin connection, too. I thought I saw an Otterbox with such capabilities... It doesn't have to be submersible, but I do want something that also proves a connectin for the 30 pin connection. Ideally this would fit the iSimple cable, or some other equivalent.

I did find this one - http://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-Mot.../dp/B005SE1ZQ6

It's not clear to me that you can pull audio from that mini 30 pin connector, but it does show that it will protect the "factory size" (short) 30 pin connector.

Anybody find anything like this?

I have been looking for the same thing. I currently use a RAM-MOUNT connected to the handlebar and a BELKIN bluetooth dongle - http://amzn.com/B004CLYJ2I . There is a USB slot on the part that plugs into the lighter so I can charge the iphone. I also have to remove mine from the mount in the event of heavy rain.

Looks nice. I don't think it pulls audio. Looks like the 30 pin is just for charging. I wonder if it is direct connect to RAM-MOUNT balls.

I considered the Iron Aces mount but at 5'7" I would need to lean too far forward to control the device. I like have it right on my handle bar where I can reach it.

I have a case made by a company called lifeproof. Is is waterproof. There is a clip for it made by slipgrip that works great. I had the same concern you did about having to stop to take my phone off in the rain. I have not had any issues with it as of yet. I have had it for a few months now.

I have been thinking about the case from lifeproof. they have video of it actually filming underwater and you can get a "swimming headphone adaptor" that actually screws into the case and you plug your aux cable into it. I think you can plug in your 30 pin adaptor to it with the case on. if it looks like rain.. unplug the 30 pin and plug in the aux cable.

LifeProof Case

Not to thread jack how does the iPhone do in the full sun in that case, mount? does it get too hot?

I direct sun it can overheat, at which point it just shuts down. 10-15 in your pocket and you can fire it up again. But that might only happen for a few hours when the sun is overhead.

I think the the iPhone is very readable in the sun, but the glass doesn't help with the glare factor. Nothing than make me want to put anything on there of the screen protector variety.

I use my otter box and rigged up the belt clip to mount to the bars. Works great but i don't think i would keep it out in the rain. Probably just pop it off and put it in the glove box but keep the tunes rolling

I like it! Looks like a better alternative to the Otter Box.
