2012 Chopped "Skunk" Tour Pak
So pricing out a chopped tour pak for my 2012 CVO "Skunk" had proven to be very costly from HD. Looking for a pre-owned OEM, but if anyone has some other idea's for options, it would be greatly appreciated. The problem with aftermarket is that I want the paint to match. Thanks!

the biggest expense for the tourpak for the cvo is for the matching paint job. i know you don't wanna hear this, but since you've already got the cvo, if you skimp on the tourpak, it will drive you nuts until you finally go and do it the right way. then you'll be pissed cause you spent the money twice

Hit up PC Pain on here, he'll get you a better than catalog price for one. Chopped or King are same price.

I learned this the hard way, I know for the candy cobalt and twilight it's all in the painting process, base metallic black, silver smoke graphics, then candy cobalt overtop the entire thing. Spent more money trying to get a good match I should have just sold the tour pack and bought a new one. Learn from my mistake!!! Spend the $1200 and get one that matches!!! You'll thank yourself later, trust me.

Skunk Chopped Tour Pak
Thanks for the advice and I know the reality is not to skimp and actually do it right. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing an alternative. Luckily I went to one of my local dealers in the Milwaukee area and they are willing to discount it 20%....that works for me as it ulitimately save me $420 for the whole package. Nice!

That's a very nice discount (same price I got as well) You might want to consider the king pak with a chopped backrest as well since it's the same price and will give you much more room. I originally wanted the chopped and then in a mix up ended up getting the king and figured out how to mount a chopped pad and am very happy I have it. I will only use it for trips and when I need extra storage so it's nice to have the larger pak. I also understand the chopped does look a little better. The only other option I could think of was to have the whole thing painted white gold pearl since there ins't much black on it anyway but it still wouldn't be the same... You'll be very happy with the matching one!
