Wow, is all I can say...incredible ride home last night and back to work this morning. I actually had my radio on (first time, since the week I bought it) and crystal clear. Deflects the wind to the top of my head, I say perfect. I was little leary with the 13" because I'm 6:2, have 34" inseam, but it's right on. Money well spent!!

I installed my 10" Windvest along with the chrome windshield trim. After going for a ride, I am kicking myself for not going bigger. I am 5'8" and the Windvest site recommended the 10". I read a lot of reports on this site that said go for a bigger one. You're right! I had more wind buffeting tonight than with the stock screen. I did not go bigger thinking that seeing over the windshield was going to be a problem.

I'm about to mount a 13" on my 2012 RGC. How pleased were you with NOT putting on the rubber trim piece?

I think you need to call Windvest customer service, ask or Tammie (I think that is her name), and tell her you followed the guide on their site and that you need a bigger shield. Also, advise them that you are a member of Roadglide.org and talk about the popularity of Windvest on our forum. I think they will make it right, at least partially.

When I first called Windvest, Tammi suggested an 8" or 10" because I am 5'8". IMO windshields cannot be picked on height or even height + inseam. A lot of other factors go into it- riding position (slouched, upright), seat height (lower or higher than stock), etc. It's pretty much going to be trial and error. What helped me was the windshield height thread that is a "sticky" in this section. I found the height that worked best for me (went through 3 other shileds) and finally found a shield that does EXACTLY what I want it to. BTW- I ended up with a 14" Gunsmoke WV, a full 4" different than the recommendation by WV.
