Smile Rgu tail light change

I am looking to get rid of the big RGU tail light. Anyone have any ideas for mod ification? I have searched, but havent been too successful. Could I use a RGC light bar and then fill taillight holes somehow?

You could go with a smoked lay down taillight, such as the brightasslight like I have, best one money can buy IMO. Also, a good alternative would be to find a sg or rgc fender on eBay, depending on what color your bike is it might not even require paint and it's an easy swap! I've seen quite a few fenders on the net lately

that is more like it ...just let the plate do the work. what lites are in the fender filler panels? I do like the Brightasslights also, that could be an option too.

I did the cvo fascia with my stock fender. Get ahold of PcPain (jon) on the forum and he can get you what youll need and a fantastic price for the parts. The plate frame bolts directly to the existing holes that the big light and the signal lightbar bolt to. definitely changes the bikes tail end. Feel free to pm me if you decide to go that route and ill help you as best i can

I used the stock fender. Mine was the last year with the large center brake light. The plate frame covers the large hole and mounts to the existing mounting holes. No cutting or drilling was needed to mount the plate frame.

I like the big tail light and I have the Brightass taillight installed as well. After getting rear ended at a stop light in 09 I figure that the more light in the back the better. Having the bike down for 6 weeks in the summer and over $3,000 in repairs spending a few bucks to light up the rear of the bike is worth it IMO.

I really like the rear fascia idea and the plasma rods and I am leaning that way, but would it be possible to use a run-brake-turn controller for the existing signal bar and then mount the plate over the holes when I remove the taillight? thanks shannon

bump...any suggestions on using the light bar only as run brake turn and removing taillight completely?
