Don't rule out the Hammock seat which comes stock on the CVOs. I have had Corbin and Mustang seats and this is the best(for me).

Just got back from a 5 state 3100 mile ride on a Harley Hammock....worked great for me, 5'10" 30 inseam. It sits just a little higher than stock but with a 12" windvest still hear stereo great and butt was happy. Huge improvement for the wife also as her butt was happy too.

I had a mustang touring seat on my VTX and really liked it. It took a while for it to break in. I know some say thats BS but it was the truth. When I first got it was tough but I really enjoyed it after a 1000 miles or so in the saddle.

I have wasted thousands of dollars and time searching for the perfect seat, and have yet to find one. Luckily I was able to recoup the money reselling them or returning them. I had my stock seat done by MCC and so far this has been the best option for me, I find it very comfortable on long days now..........

When I put a Mustang on my RK I wasn't very happy until it broke in a bit. Literally felt like a different seat to me after some miles on it.

Two things:

1) I got a phone call from Dennis Kirk today. They got the seat and they can tell the seat has been mounted and has some slight marks. Therefore they are going to hit me for 10% because the seat cannot be resold as new. I really can't complain, i put 3 or 4 hundred miles on the seat. I guess $60 is better than trying to resell the seat/

2)I road the bike with original factory seat yesterday for the first time since I pulled the Mustang. Wow, what a difference. The factory seat feels much farther forward (it is) This is good for my arms, but bad for my legs. My butt liked the Mustang much better. Unfortunately the Mustang while better, was nowhere close to perfect and Momma did not like either....

Now I just have to wait to see if they send me the Road Sofa to try....

I hope they don't send you the one I sent back a couple of weeks ago...it was new but had been returned before I got it. The Road sofa will raise you apx 3" more than the mustang and definitely more forward. I only rode it for 5 miles and knew it wasn't for me!

Why don't you just try the original Mustang Touring seat? It doesn't sit you back that far, if any. I think the newer Super Touring is the only one that sits you back so far.

I really wanted to like the seat. I put on bars with more pullback to make up for the 1.75" back it moves you and I installed a tour pak relocation kit to give Momma her share of room. The seat looks good and I like the fact that it sits about 1" lower than stock and has a narrow nose section.

Several reasons why it doesn't work for me... In no particular order they are;
  1. Seat puts you back 1.75". Already not enough room between the back of my legs and the passenger footpads. Now there is 1.75" less.
  2. Because Momma now sits 1.75" back the inside of her knees rub on the rear crash bar.
  3. The seat really isn't all that comfortable to me. After about 2 hours in the saddle I am butt crawling all over the seat.
  4. 4) When I told Momma I was gonna send it back she said good in made her butt hurt. (I don't know when she was planning on telling this.)
    1. Because Momma has to keep her butt slid forward due to reason #2 I can't use the back rest when riding 2 up. Momma says she doens't think a porn star could her legs spread that wide for very long...
Glad I bought from Dennis Kirk, I have 90 days to send the seat back.

I am planning on trying a Road Sofa next. Whish me luck...

P.S - the list feature really doesn't work very well.
i have a 2009 road glide im a short guy and i have a saddleman seat thats not working fore me .

Momma informed me today that the Road Sofa has arrived from DK.

I am on the road as usual and will not get home until Wends. Thursday I leave for Nashville with some members of my HOG chapter. I will start a new thread about Road Sofa when I return...
