Need help with the Fascia on an 09 RG
Hi Guys,
Need your help, I bought the Fascia from an 2010 street glide to put on my 09 RG, besides the fascia which is just that plastic one piece that covers the fender bag space and extends the lower fender, what also do I need to install it on my bike>? sort of lost here. NOT New to HD but new to the RG.
All the help on this forum is awesome.

You'll need the stud plates, nuts, tri light bar and the harness for the light bar
Layout the fascia, mark and drill.....3 hols on each side of the fender

So you have to drill the fender, I was affraid of that, not into that at all.
Maybe try some fastner tape or something hate to drill the fender.

If you got some 3m double sided tape, I'm sure that would work.......shit works on vehicle emblems and is rock solid, so I wouldn't imagine that you would have a problem if you didn't want to drill your fender.
Just remember, to do your layout a couple times before you stick it down.....once that stuff is down, it's down

Hidden under your left side cover is a long pigtail that you can use for the tri-light,
Also "Bikers Choice" has a replacement tri-lite that has both brake/tail functions and is about half the price of an HD unit. I have put in a couple of them and they are quite good for the price.

Its not that bad really. I did mine without any issues. Use 3" wide masking tape on the sides of the fender when you drill amd make sure you put a block of wood between the tire and fender so you dont poke the tire. Also make sure you buy the harness for a 09 streetglide. It will plug directly into the harness on your 09 rg. I believe the 10s and newer have a different harness plug.

The drilling part is not so hard once you get over the fear of screwing it up.
Did the 07 myself, Dealer did the 2011 for me and they just did the 2013 of because I was still a little restricted on using my right arm. The tape may work if you don't ride much but long term Not so sure.
I watched the young tech that did the work for a bit. I noticed he check his marks a few times. Notice the tape.
