Progressive 412 shocks
I was wondering if anyone has the progressive 412 hd 12'' shocks. I have seen lots of feedback on better shocks but none on the 412. Was wondering if they would be an upgrade or a lateral of the Harley 12'' air shocks. Looking to improve my ride without going broke. I can get set of shocks for $185 plus freight. Thanks for feedback.

I've got 11.5'' 412's with monotubes up front .I like them alot. Bike feels much better just going down the road, really shines on bumps and in twisties.940's and others may be better shocks but 412's are good for the price.

Good to hear....I just bought a set of 11.5 412s and monotubes. Curious, how much lower did you go on the monotubes? I want to go down 2inches with a 21" upfront and the 11.5 412s

I've had the 412's for about 2 months and can't complain for the price. I'm hoping that monotubes in the front will even out the ride.

I lowered my 09 at the time of purchase with the factory lowering kit which dropped me an inch front and rear. That would mean I would need 12" rears. So if you had to do it again would you buy the 412s again or go better? I believe the customs are the same height in the front as an ultra and lowered in the back to the 12" shocks. correct? What are you guys saying when you are talking about different montubes? Lowering the front to match? How do the shocks perform in a 2up situation?

I had 412's on my 2001 Roadking and they were great. You could especially tell when cornering. It tracked like it was on rails. I have 440's on my Roadie but I'm sending them back to get he HD spring (1368-20B 105/150) as I ride mostly two up. Hard to know what works until you try 'em. 412's are a great bang for the buck!!!

Monotubes are a product made by progressive that replaces your fork internals. They come in stock height and lowered version. I dropped mine 2" up front with monotubes and .5 in back with 412s. Rides just finw two up. Me and wife are 310 combined.

Direct Cycle Parts has them for $205, with free shipping. Mention the forum and they will knock $5 more off.
